The outcome of plastic surgery is the same for every procedure. That body part, no matter what you do to it, will never look the same again. That being said, plastic surgery can either go very well and look natural or go horribly wrong.

Celebrity plastic surgery should theoretically always go well because celebs have money and resources to pay for the best surgeons available, right? Sadly, it doesn't always work out that way. Many celebrities (in an attempt to improve their looks) have unfortunately gone the opposite way, coming out of surgery looking worse than when they came in. The word “worse” can mean a range of things, such as temporary swelling from a bad reaction to an injectable, to completely botched surgery that can leave someone horribly disfigured for the rest of their life.

Here are ten celebrities who destroyed their bodies. Some of these celebs had too much surgery, such as multiple procedures in either a short period of time or over a number of years. Several of these celebs had good intentions, but suffered a tragic medical mishap that other doctors tried to correct, but just couldn't get that person back to normal. But, sadly for most of the names on this list, they never really needed surgery to begin with and just ended up looking worse.

10. Tara Reid

In her breakout role in American Pie, Tara Reid was the cute but sexy girl next door. Now, she’s anything but. In addition to having a much harsher overall look from years of partying, Reid has had some truly awful plastic surgery. In 2006, Reid underwent a procedure call liposculpting, which went horribly wrong, botching her stomach for life. To correct her original procedure, Reid was rumored to have undergone a doughnut mastopexy and even more liposuction to even out her stomach. In 2015, pictures showed that despite multiple attempts to correct this problem, it looked uneven and as awful as ever.

9. Axl Rose

Axl Rose was one of the sexiest rock stars in the 80s. His music aged well, but he did not. Rose clearly had some kind of face-lift, and let’s face it, face-lifts rarely look good on men. Can you even think of one male celeb with a good face-lift? Rose’s face was pushed back tighter than his tightest pants, circa 1988. In an attempt to look youthful, he just looked botched. It doesn't even look like he can still fully open his mouth to get the words out. Also gone is his long sexy hair. Rose now looks like he desperately needs a shower.

8. Bruce Jenner

While Bruce Jenner hasn't officially come out of the transgender closet yet, it doesn't matter what gender he is, because his face looks awkward. In the 70s, Jenner was a sexy Olympic medalist whose face and body graced the Wheaties cereal box. Today, his face is rather messed up. Jenner has had a laundry list of surgeries, including a face lift, having his Adam’s apple shaved, multiple nose jobs and rhinoplasty. There are also rumors he had breast implant surgery in preparation for his transition. No matter what he does going forward, Jenner will never look like the man on the Wheaties box again.

7. Janice Dickinson

Janice Dickinson has had almost as many plastic surgeries as she has had magazine covers. She has breast implants, a tummy tuck, a face lift, a neck lift, liposuction and Botox, among other surgeries. In 2014, Dickenson appeared on the E! show Botched, with Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow to have her breast implants removed. It turned out they were over 30 years old. “Implants have a certain shelf life, a timeline and I ignored it” Janice told Eonline, “But thanks to Dr. Dubrow, he said that they had to come out immediately—not just for aesthetic reasons but for health reasons.”

6. Carrot Top

Carrot Top wasn't the most attractive comedian (or the funniest), but the “King of Props” was pretty successful in the 90’s. However, as he aged, he had a variety of procedures on his face, which made him look like a cartoon carrot. He also transformed his physique, sparking steroid rumors. But, Carrot Top denies all of this. He told Oprah on her show Where Are They Now, “People think I've had plastic surgery -- no, it just takes a lot of makeup to make me look good.” In terms of his body, the comedian says nothing has changed much over the years, “I get a lot of grief because I've always been in shape and I think for comedy in general, they don't expect comics to be in shape.”

5. Bristol Palin

Bristol Palin, who is the daughter of former Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin, underwent facial surgery in 2010. She said she had, “reconstructive jaw surgery for medical reasons” and “not plastic surgery”, as many people speculated. It also looks like she had a chin implant inserted. Palin told Us Weekly, “[this] surgery was necessary for medical reasons ... so my jaw and teeth could properly realign. ... I don't obsess over my face.” Some doctors even speculated she had liposuction on her face, but the surgery required Palin’s jaw be wired shut for 6 weeks, so she probably lost the weight as a result of a liquid diet.

4. Mickey Rourke

Mickey Rourke was a big sex symbol in the 80s, when he starred in Nine and ½ Weeks and Wild Orchid. However, in the 90s his acting career started to fizzle out and Rourke pursued professional boxing. Unfortunately, the sport seemingly destroyed his face. In 2009, he told Daily Mail, “I had to have cartilage taken from my ear to rebuild my nose and a couple of operations to scrape out the cartilage because the scar tissue wasn't healing properly. That was one of the most painful operations. Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together.” Rourke just hasn't look the same ever since.

3. Heidi Montag

Heidi Montag was the sexy, but adorable ex-best friend of Lauren Conrad, on MTV’s The Hills. After the show, Montag went overboard and had way too much plastic surgery. She later told Barbara Walters that she regretted her decision, “I really just went back in to get my nose reset and get a little bit larger of implants because I had been elbowed by a backup dancer in a music video that I was doing and then I went in and was talking to my doctor and he just kind of diagnosed me and was like, ‘You should get a chin reduction, and an eyebrow lift.”

Montag had a total of ten procedures, including a brow lift, having her chin shaved, rhinoplasty, having her ears pinned, two breasts enlargements, liposuction, fat injected into her cheekbones, liposuction and fat removed from her back.

2. Farrah Abraham

Farrah Abraham took a different path than every other MTV Teen Mom. Not only did she get into the adult entertainment industry, but she also made over her entire body with lots of plastic surgery. Abraham had breast implants inserted, removed, and then inserted again. She also had her nose fixed and a chin implant inserted, among other procedures. In January 2015, Abraham had a lip injection procedure that went horribly wrong. Her lips blew up and swelled to cartoon character-like proportions. The reality/adult entertainment star blamed a bad reaction to an anesthetic for the incident. But she wasn't botched for life, the swelling eventually went down. Thankfully.

1. Amanda Bynes

Amanda Bynes might be having mental problems, but that aside, what did this girl do to her face? Bynes was adorable, but not in her own eyes. In fact, she claimed her eyes were the problem. In 2013, the actress took to Twitter to announce, “I had a nose job to remove skin that was like a webbing in between my eyes. Having surgery was the most amazing thing for my confidence!” This “webbing” was probably only visible to Bynes, but still she begged the press to stop publishing old pictures of her. Bynes also had breast implants put in and then removed. Still, the cute funny girl Bynes once was, is gone.
