People look up to successful athletes and Hollywood celebrities when it comes to luxury and trends because the above two categories of people have the money and the influence to acquire anything they please. Therefore, when it comes to celebrating the success of a music album, the success of a movie, or the clinching of a title for a particular team, some serious celebrity celebrations will occur. These celebrations end up being quite different from the ones the rest of us have, with the biggest difference being the bill at the end of the night.

When you want to entertain your friends with a few drinks, you will of course look at what you can and cannot afford, and buy what fits your budget. However, what happens in the case where whoever is buying has a seemingly endless supply of money? What will prevent an athlete or a musician who makes millions of dollars in a year to spend a sizable portion of his or her earnings entertaining friends and buying the most expensive champagne ever made?

Whatever the case, it is important to be responsible when spending money on anything, regardless of what it is. It is also very important to know your limits and not go around trying to impress people by spending all the money you have just for the sake of showing off. The following is a list of some of the most expensive bar tabs that some of our favorite celebrities and athletes have had to pay, with some figures sounding too ridiculous to be true.

10. Miami Heat - $100,000 bar tab

The Miami Heat is one of the best basketball teams in the NBA because they have won back-to-back Eastern Conference titles from 2011-2014, and the NBA championship in 2006, 2012 and 2013. The Miami Heat is on this list because of their most recent NBA Championship celebration, where they accumulated a bar tab of $100,000 in just one night. The interesting thing is that the Nightclub paid the whole bill, as was the case in their previous year's celebration. It is so impressive for the Nightclub to waive this once-in-a-lifetime bill, though it is a sure way of keeping the Miami Heat and their fans coming back for a very long time.

9. Bryant McKinnie - $100,000 bar tab

Bryant McKinnie used to play American football for a living, and he was one of the best offensive players for the Minnesota Vikings. He began impressing football lovers and coaches back when he was playing college football, a period when he got the recognition as an All-American two times. Bryant turned heads when he accumulated a $100,000 bar tab during a Kickoff Party for the NBA All-Star Game hosted by Rick Ross in Hollywood. The cause of this high bill was Bryant's choice of high-end champagne, of which he bought 15 bottles. This is one of the results of getting rich very early in life; people make such generous spending that might not sound reasonable a few years down the line.

8. Mark Cuban - $110,000 bar tab

Mark Cuban is among other things a businessman, an investor, and the owner of the Dallas Mavericks. Mark Cuban is worth approximately $3 billion, meaning that he can afford to spend far more than the rest of us. When his team, won the NBA Championship back in 2011, he took them to a club in Miami's Fontainebleau hotel and bought drinks for his players worth more than $110,000. Of the total bill, the Armand de Brignac which cost $90,000, is one of the reasons the bar tab was so high. This celebration marked just how proud Mark and Mavs fans were of their team. Lil Wayne was also part of the fans celebrating the victory.

7. Zac Efron's Russian friend - $135,000

Technically, no celebrity or sports star spent money here, but because Zac Efron is a celebrity, a lot of money was poured out here. In 2011 when Zac was in a nightclub in Chicago, the son of a Russian billionaire spotted him. In a bid to impress his celebrity "man crush," the son of the billionaire bought Zac a very expensive 15-liter champagne and continued to party without any financial worries. The champagne was a Nebuchadnezzar of Armand de Brignac, which goes for roughly $100,000. The Russian continued to pay for more drinks that are also very expensive and his bill was to end up at $135,000, including the service charge. Becoming a celebrity has more advantages than you thought.

6. Boston Bruins Players - $156,700

For all Ice Hockey fans, the celebration that followed 2011's Boston Bruins game 7 victory over the Vancouver Canucks to become the Stanley Cup champions is no news. The American team partied like there was never going to be another competition, and managed to spend a crazy amount of money on drinks in the process. Can you imagine one team spending $156,679 in one night of drinking? What made the bill to get so high was when they ordered the $100,000 Ace of Spades Midas Champagne, which was one of only six 30-liter bottles produced in history. However, if you think that bar tab was a waste of money, consider the loss that the Vancouver Canucks' fans must have caused when they resulted to trashing cars and looting stores in protest of their loss back home.

5. LeBron James - $171,937 bar tab

LeBron James  is definitely one of the greatest basketball players of all time and he's the highest paid basketballer today. Because King James makes so much money on and off the basketball court, it's only right for him to spend a little of it, right? Well, a high income in no way justifies a $172,000 bar tab. LeBron apparently spent the above sum on drinks at the XS Nightclub in Las Vegas in 2011, though there is no actual evidence that the bar tab belonged to James himself. Whether or not James spent that amount or not, we know that he can easily afford it and he is not one to shy away from spending cash in a club.

4. Drake - $189,375 bar tab

Drake is a Canadian rapper who is not afraid of celebrating the release of his friend from jail in a very expensive way. In November 2010, Drake threw Lil Wayne a party to celebrate his release, and this party went down as one of the most expensive parties that Tryst Nightclub in Las Vegas has ever hosted. The four bottles of Veuve Clicquot, 55 bottles of Grey Goose, and 23 bottles of Dom Perignon are what shot the bill up to its magnitude. Drake showed the world how everyone is supposed to behave when a close friend comes home from spending time in jail. We can only hope that Lil Wayne was thirsty and drank his fill that night.

3. Jay Z - $250,000 bar tab

Jay Z is Shawn Corey Carter's stage name, and this rapper, producer, and entrepreneur is one of the best-selling artists of all time and one of the richest rappers in America today. Therefore, when Jay Z decides to go out and have a drink he can spend whatever amount he feels like, just because he can. However, his bar tab at a New Year's Eve party is still one of the most ridiculous and highest bar tabs in history, where he finally paid a bill that came to $250,000. That night, Jay Z hired a place called "The Vault" at the Barclays Centre to party with friends, where there was a wall made of hundreds of Armand de Brignac Brut Gold bottles, each costing about $300.

2. Don Johnson - $256,111 bar tab

Don Johnson is a businessman and a gambler who is not afraid to spend his hard earned cash. For the average person, spending a few thousand dollars in one night over drinks is enough to give you more than just a hangover in the morning, but not for a millionaire celebrity. Don Johnson apparently spent $256,111 at One4One, a nightclub in London, and the bill was the least of his concern. Apparently, Don is not a fan of the taste of champagne, but that did not prevent him from buying the most expensive champagne bottle in the world together with other drinks on the side. The people in the club that night are sure to have had the time of their lives.

1. Leonardo DiCaprio - $3  million bar tab

Leonardo DiCaprio is an amazing actor and Hollywood celebrity, and this status comes with a lot of money. Unbelievably, when this famous actor was turning 38, he spent $3 million on champagne to celebrate with his friends. It is very hard to believe or even understand why anyone would spend $3 million on drinks for one night, regardless of how rich that someone is. However, to try to make the above spending situation make a bit of sense, he was raising some money for charity, which is why he was hosting celebrities such as Jay Z, Beyoncé, Cameron Diaz, Robert De Niro, and other A-listers. We can only hope that the money the event raised for charity was more than the money they spent on drinks.
