Her personal life is still making headlines because people are still interested in what she wears, who she dates, and where she goes on holidays. This interest has changed the Internet forever. Jennifer Lopez is still on the top of her game and there are some valuable lessons we can learn from her.

She is ambitious

The first step for her success was to be aware that she wanted more in life. Although her family was happy, she knew that she wanted something else and have different experiences.  She didn't settle and followed her dreams.

"If I didn’t have certain ambitions, I might have gotten married after high school and had kids and decided to get a job at a bank in Castle Hill, like my aunt did,” she said during an interview with InStyle. “It’s just that I had dreams and ideas that were different.”

She is confident

JLo became a familiar face when she was a Fly Girl on In Living Colors. She became a singer and in 1997 she starred in the movie Selena. JLo is aware she is outstanding in whatever she does.

"When I first started, it was always a matter of 'Am I good? Am I good enough? Do I need to be better? What can I do to be better?' Now I know I'm really good at this. So I just want to do it," she told InStyle.

She has multiple talents

In 2001, her second album, JLo, was the number one on Billboard and her movie The Wedding Planner was also one of the highest-grossing movies that year. It seems there is nothing JLo can't do and she is a talented singer, dancer, and actress.

"I don't understand why you can't be an actress and a singer and dancer as well," she told InStyle. "Like, that's how this whole business started. Entertainment! And why can't you be funny and also be a dramatic actress? Okay, some people can't do both. But if they can, let them!"

She is also behind the scenes

Jennifer Lopez has been under the spotlight for three decades. However, she also masters the showbusiness behind the scenes. In 2002, Lopez and Benny Medina created the Nuyorican Productions. Lopez is the CEO of the firm.

Having her own company gave Lopez the freedom to producer her own movies like Second Act and Boy Next Door.

"I was feeling overwhelmed, and I think Benny was feeling overwhelmed, too," she told Hollywood Reporter. Initially, we thought she might come on just to help us with the movie side.

She has partnerships with powerful brands

Jennifer Lopez seems to turn everything into gold. She is successful in everything she does and her image is still appealing to the public even after decades. The brands know that. Versace has announced they will sell a sneaker-inspired on Jennifer Lopez's iconic green dress.

The singer is passionated about perfume and she has released 20 fragrances since 2002. She also has JLO by Jennifer Lopez, a lifestyle brand.

However, she also fails sometimes. In 2001 she had her first fashion company, Sweetface Fashion. According to the entrepreneur, it was the biggest disappointment in her career. "I felt like I was trapped in a situation I couldn't get out of, and my name was stamped on things that I didn't believe in," she told New York Times.

She has a powerful image

Jennifer Lopez knows how powerful her image is. Every time she stops on the red carpet, it's impossible to look away. In 2005 she showed up wearing a relieving green Versace dress.

Lopez knew she would make the headlines, but she had no idea she would change business for Google. Back then, the search-engineer only worked with texts.

"At the time, it was the most popular search query we had ever seen," Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Google, told Business Insider. "But we had no surefire way of getting users exactly what they wanted: JLo wearing that dress. Google Image search was born."

She makes money with her hobbies

Everybody has a guilty pleasure and Jennifer Lopez is not different. The singer revealed that she is a fan of reality TV shows and Mob Wives is one of her favorite things on television.

"I didn't want to go back into judging so quickly," she told Gold Derby. "I had my series Shades of Blue and I had some movies that were coming up. I had my Vegas residency, so there was a lot going on. But it's my show, and I want it to be the best it can be. I felt like, you know what? I have to do it."

She gives it back

Jennifer Lopez is in a privileged position and she used it also to help people. Together with her sister Lynda Lopez, she founded the Lopez Family Foundation in 2009, a nonprofit organization that aims to offer healthcare for women and children who need it.

The first name of the organization was The Maribel Foundation. Maribel was Jennifer's then-husband Marc Anthony's sister who died from a brain tumor when she was a child.

Lopez decided to create the foundation when she and Lynda were pregnant. "We were both fortunate to be in the care of great doctors who kept us properly informed every step of the journey," she told E! Online. "The experience made us think a lot about how different it was for some people, which we knew from growing up in the Bronx."

She is proud of her achievements
