Celebrities are very well paid and make more money than they probably know what to do with. There are a number of grateful celebrities who appreciate their fans, and co-workers but there are also some that instead of being appreciative, have been known to take their fame for granted, and as a result end up being unprofessional and at times quite rude which causes major problems on set for everyone involved.

We all have a  bad day every now and then, and maybe some of the celebrities who are known to be difficult to work with are just guilty of that one isolated incident, or perhaps there is a recurring theme to their less than ideal behavior. Either way, their work habits, ethics and egos become questionable due to their faulty actions.

Here is our top 15 celebrities that no one wants to work with.

15. Mike Myers

Apparently, anyone who has worked with Mike Myers knows him as having a reputation for being a control freak and an extremely high-maintenance person. The director of Wayne's World claimed that she had to hire her daughter to be Myers' personal assistant because she couldn't deal with his ongoing demands. It may seem quite surprising to learn this, considering he appears to have such a friendly and welcoming appearance, but looks can be deceiving at times.

14. Val Kilmer

In the '90s Val Kilmer was at the peak of his acting career, which led him to become one of the most sought out actors in Hollywood at that time. But despite his popularity, nearly every director that he worked with has had negative comments regarding the actor. His attitude seems to stem back to his first acting job at the age of 12, where he reportedly stormed off the set of a hamburger commercial. He even went head to head with director Joel Schumacher, who told Kilmer that his poor treatment of the crew was unacceptable. Kilmer's publicized attitude and temper is most likely the reason why we don't see him very much on the big screen anymore.

13. Katherine Heigl

If there is one thing that can ruin a Hollywood career, it's having a bad reputation. Heigl is known for publicly criticizing people she has worked with, and having ridiculous demands; both factors which led to the departure of the hit show, Grey's Anatomy. Nearly every project she has worked on she has had something negative to say about the people she's worked with. For example, she once stated that she would not accept an Emmy nomination because of the bad writing from the writers of Grey's Anatomy.

12. Gwyneth Paltrow

Paltrow is among the most high maintenance celebrities when it comes to her ridiculous demands. She actually requests that someone must dry the shower at the gym that she goes to before using it so she doesn't touch the previous person's water (how insane is that?) Also, while she was on the set of Iron Man 2, it was reported that Paltrow avoided Scarlett Johansson at all costs, the two of them didn't even speak a word to one another.

11. Russel Crowe

There is no doubt that Russel Crowe can act, and he has made a name for himself not just because of his work as an actor, but also because of his crazy antics over the years, which include everything from threatening to kill movie producers during phone calls, to drunken fights, and insulting people via Twitter. He once outraged George Clooney after calling him a sellout for appearing in TV commercials. Clooney responded by saying, "Dude, the only people who succeed when two famous people are fighting is People magazine. What is wrong with you?"

10. Edward Norton

Edward Norton is known as a very dedicated actor and for that same reason he is also recognized by his peers as being difficult to work with. He takes his job extremely seriously and is very professional on every project he works on. According to some of his colleagues he is a control freak that they don't want to work with. He once said:

"I’m incapable of engaging as an actor on something without engaging as a dramatist. And when you work with great people, they not only accept it, they welcome it. But when you work with insecure people, it’s a problem."

9. Steven Seagal

Steven Seagal is rumored to be a compulsive liar, he's apparently publicly fabricated stories about his own life as well as even kicking random people between the legs on set. Here's one of his famous, and somewhat delusional quotes. "I am hoping that I can be known as a great writer and actor some day, rather than a sex symbol."

I don't know about sex symbol, great actor or writer, but at the height of his career Seagal was a great action hero to many of his fans.

8. Christian Bale

Christian Bale is another talented actor who takes his work extremely seriously. However, that can sometimes be unsettling for everyone that has to work with him, especially considering his temper. On the big screen, he's charming and talented but behind the scenes nobody wants to work with him. He's also a very private person when it comes to his personal life and has said,

"I don’t want to know about the lives of other actors and I don’t want people to know too much about me. If we don’t know about the private lives of other actors, that leaves us as clean slates when it comes to playing characters. That’s the point, they can create these other characters and I can believe them. I think if you’re a good enough actor, that’s the way to longevity in the film business. Keep everybody guessing."

7. James Cameron

Cameron has directed some of the most successful movies ever made, but he also has a reputation for pushing his crew to exceed their boundaries. Because of his bossy attitude, Cameron is now known as Iron Jim. He is also a bit on the pretentious side, too. In regards to Avatar, he has been quoted as saying,

“Building upon the world we created with ‘Avatar’ has been a rare and incredibly rewarding experience. In writing the new films, I’ve come to realize that Avatar's world, story and characters have become even richer than I anticipated, and it became apparent that two films would not be enough to capture everything I wanted to put on screen.”

6. Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf seems to always be in the public eye, not so much for his acting anymore but because of his absurd outbursts and fights with co-workers or any random person he feels necessary to start a feud with. It appears that nearly everyone who has worked with LaBeouf has had negative comments about the troubled actor.

Here are a quote from Shia about why he started acting,

“I initially got into this career because of money; pure and simple. There was no other reason I got into this. When I got onto Even Stevens, I didn’t know s**t about craft, I’d never read Meisner or Stanislavski, I didn’t know anything about Strasberg, I knew s**t. All I knew was this was a way to get cash and get me out of Echo Park. My dad was a drug dealer, my mom had a job selling pens. This was my life. It was all money. You could make $8,000 a week doing this show. What the f**k? Of course, I’m in! Sold!”

5. Sharon Stone

Sharon Stone is one of Hollywood's main divas; she loves her celebrity status and she's not afraid to admit it and she's also extremely smart. Stone knows she has worked hard to get where she is and has no problem making demands. She is known for giving some of her co-stars a hard time. When asked about the business and her stardom, this is what Stone said:

"Some people work hard in this business and become really popular, really big stars, but they never receive an award from within the business. Somehow, when your colleagues and friends believe in you to the point of handing you an award it means so much more," she says in her diva manner, and continues about life wisdom.

“I feel more grounded and more settled than I ever have. I don’t know whether that is to do with my spirituality or whether I’m wiser about life, but as you age, you become more selective about what you listen to, devote your time to and who you hang out with."

4. Charlie Sheen

It's hard to ignore the crazy antics of Charlie Sheen, especially since his very public departure from Two and a Half Men and then again on the series Anger Management. Whether it's his "tiger blood" boiling, his love for his "goddesses" or random Twitter rants, you have to admit the man is entertaining! Here is one of Sheen's famous, and yet bizarre quotes:

"What they're not ready for is guys like you and I and Nails and all the other gnarly gnarlingtons in my life, that we are high priests, Vatican assassin warlocks. Boom. Print that, people. See where that goes."

3. Mariah Carey

After working with Mariah Carey on American Idol, Nicki Minaj said that Carey was a "nit-picky nightmare." It's not too surprising considering Carey is known to be one of the most demanding divas in Hollywood. Carey once said in regards to the way people perceive her that:

"I think certain people like to torture me because they think I’ve had it easier than I actually have and they think: ‘Oh, she’s got this, she’s got that, she’s always had everything perfect,’ and it’s sooo not true."

2. Jennifer Lopez

There is a rumor circulating that J Lo is horrible to work with and that apparently if her demands are not met before she shows up to work, she may very well fly off the handle. An insider once told Scene Queens that there are requirements J Lo expects met from her assistants, "The person has to be graceful under pressure, have a thick skin and be resourceful in foreign countries, among other things," You'll be expected to travel at a moment's notice and must know how to adjust to each city."

1. Beyonce

Beyonce was named the “Most Difficult Celebrity” after her ridiculous demands at the 2013 Super Bowl. Some of her demands were that water had to be chilled to 21 degrees and then served with a $900 titanium straw, bathrooms had to have new toilet seats and red toilet paper, and hand-carved ice balls had to be made to cool her throat after the show. Beyonce said in regard to her celebrity status,

“I think people have an idea in their heads about entertainers, celebrities. I think they feel like their lives are so perfect, and it’s really hard to go through painful experiences when you’re in the public eye, because it’s hard to have closure.”
