When you are on the road all the time or on the set of a movie, it can be easy to get tangled up with people that are working for you. For celebrities, it can be flattering to have someone who is at your beck and call and basically worships the ground they walk on.
It wouldn’t be the first time that a celebrity mixed business with pleasure and sometimes it just makes their lives a little bit easier. They will often hook up with some people that work for them, but those situations will often lead to dating and even marriage. Employees all over the world probably dream of meeting a celebrity, working for them and being whisked off to a better life. Why be the maid when you could live the celebrity life walking down red carpets with the love of your life? You may think it’s not reality but many ordinary, everyday people are living that exact life.
Celebrity relationships aren’t ones that typically last a long time, so there’s that to consider. Even the couples out there that we believed were #relationshipgoals are breaking up. But in some other cases, the relationships are lasting.
You might think that it’s impossible that a celebrity would want to date someone that works for them, but it actually happens all the time. Matt Damon Married His Waitress
Okay, so technically she wasn’t working for him, but she was waiting on him at a restaurant, so she kind of was working for him. It’s probably every girl’s dream to find out that the table that you’re waiting is seating a celebrity like Matt Damon. What’s even better is he asks you out on a date, then you become his girlfriend, wife, and mother of his children. That’s what happened to Luciana Barroso when she was serving drinks to Damon at a Miami Beach bar.
She worked as the bartender and he actually asked her if he could hide behind the bar to avoid the paparazzi that showed up.
The two have been married now for over a decade which is huge in Hollywood. But it may help that she wasn’t famous. The two now have four children together.
Ethan Hawke Married The Nanny
Ryan Shawhughes may be Ethan Hawke’s wife now, but she used to be the nanny when he was married to the insanely gorgeous Uma Thurman. We’re sure you can imagine how all this played out. Hawke was married to Thurman for nine years at the time and they had two kids. They hired Ryan Shawhughes to watch their children. He fell in love with Ryan, married her in 2008, and had two kids of their own. Hopefully, they didn’t hire a nanny because Shawhughes would need to keep one eye open with Hawke. Hawke actually said this in an interview with The Guardian, “my marriage disintegrated due to many pressures, none of which were remotely connected to Ryan.”
Heidi Klum Fell In Love With The Bodyguard
Heidi Klum is one stunning lady so it wouldn’t be hard for any guy to fall for her. After she ended things with Seal, she fell into the arms of her bodyguard Martin Kristen. Seal lost his mind when he found out and criticized Klum for dating him before they were legally divorced. He told TMZ, “I didn’t expect any better from [the bodyguard], but I would’ve thought Heidi would [have] shown a bit more class before deciding to get with the help, as it were.” He made sure to state later that he wasn’t implying that she was unfaithful with the bodyguard, although we are sure it crossed his mind.
Klum told Katie Couric that she thought Kristen was “a great man” and how she fully trusted him with her kids.
As with most rebounds, however, the relationship didn’t last and they broke up in 2014.
Usher Has Dated Many Employees
Usher hasn’t dated just one employee of his, but two. He married his longtime personal stylist Tameka Foster in 2007. They had two children together. Their marriage only lasted a few years and they divorced in 2009. We’re not sure about the reason for the breakup, but it wasn’t long before he was with someone else. He started dating his manager at the time, Grace Miguel, and the two got married in 2015. He seemed crazy about this girl and gushed about her often. In an interview with Billboard in 2014, he told them,
“I have an incredible partner and manager. She has helped me through some of the hardest times in my life and my career.”
Hopefully, these two will stand the test of time.
Britney Spears Almost Married The Help Again
The most publicized matchup between employer and employee was Britney Spears and Kevin Federline who was her backup dancer at the time that they met. The two crashed and burned, divorcing later on. She was also in a serious relationship with her former manager Jason Trawick between 2009 and 2013, although we feel like Spears could have done better. She may have been looking for someone to take care of her after everything she had been through. They were also engaged after two years of dating, but Spears ended up calling it off.

We doubt they are still friends considering she called off an engagement and she is now dating a super hot personal trainer. We think she is much more suited to be with the guy she’s with now.
Christina Aguilera Is Dating The Set Assistant
Christina Aguilera has dated a few employees over the years. When she was first on the scene during her “Dirrty” days, she started dating her backup dancer Jorge Santos. Though much isn’t known about the relationship, they traveled together while she toured and he worked with her on her music videos. They ended their relationship in 2001 because allegedly, Aguilera wanted to get married and he thought he was too young to be married. He was probably right considering she was only 20 years old at the time.
These days, she is engaged to Matt Rutler who was the set assistant on the movie Burlesque that she starred in.
She’s not rushing into another marriage this time and the couple has been engaged for three years, although they share a daughter together. He certainly hit the mother-load.
Madonna Dated Her Personal Trainer
We would think this would happen more often considering many beautiful women have personal trainers. Beautiful celebrities sweating with hot young gym guys, you would think that more romances would happen. Madonna started dating her personal trainer Carlos Leon in the '90s when they were in New York City. He also happens to be the father of her daughter Lourdes. They weren’t together long before she moved on to Guy Ritchie. Leon is still very much a part of his daughter’s life, which is always nice to see.
It’s not the first employee that she has dated, she also dated backup dancer Timor Steffens in 2014.
They also didn’t last very long. It’s pretty obvious that Madonna likes her men young.
LeAnn Rimes And Her Backup Singer
LeAnn Rimes is a country music sweetheart and in 2002 she married her backup singer Dean Sheremet. The two were adorable together, but their union was not meant to be. Rimes was involved in a very public scandal when she cheated on her husband with actor Eddie Cibrian who was also married. She shocked her fans who didn’t think that Rimes was capable of something like that. Both parties divorced and LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian decided to get married instead.
Sheremet was pretty bitter about the whole thing and made his opinion known especially since he said their relationship had already been strained because of the sacrifices he had to make in order for their relationship to work.
Rimes has always said that she had no regrets about ruining her first marriage because she and Cibrian were soulmates.
Rob Lowe Married His Makeup Artist
Rob Lowe and Sheryl Berkoff met on the set of his movie Bad Influence and she was his makeup artist. Apparently, mutual friends had tried to set the two up on a blind date before, but it never worked out. The two eventually started dating and hit it off, so much so that they have been married now since 1991. Their marriage hasn’t been perfect, however, since there have been a ton of rumors over the years about Lowe betraying Sheryl with more than one nanny. Whether there was cheating involved or not, the two have stuck it out. He said this about Sheryl in an interview with Haute Living in 2014:
“I had met my now-wife, Sheryl, and was attempting my first try at monogamy — which was not really in my nature at the time — and I wasn’t able to do it. It made me examine how I was living my life.

Patrick Dempsey Has Married Two Employees
Patrick Dempsey has been married a couple of times and both were with people that worked for him. His married his first wife who was much older than him. His acting coach Rochelle “Rocky” Parker was 48 years old and he was only 21 at the time — probably way too young to be getting married. The two ended their union and it was a bitter divorce with Parker claiming that Dempsey abused her. She later took back those allegations.
He then went on to marry his makeup artist and stylist, Jillian Fink.
She technically wasn’t his employee because she didn’t work on a set but at a salon which he apparently visited quite a bit. The two have three children together and although they announced they were getting a divorce, they have since called it off and are trying to make things work.

Sometimes, love stories between employer and employee do work out even for celebrities. It’s hard in Hollywood to have any relationship last long. Whether there is more hope for two people who aren’t both famous, we’re not sure. Sometimes, when both people are super famous, they just can’t find the time to make their union work. But for Kelly Rowland, it looks like her love story is panning out. She started dating her manager Tim Weatherspoon in 2011 and the two got married three years later in Costa Rica. The couple seemed to be gloriously happy together and they had a son that they named Titan Jewell Weatherspoon a year after they married. This might just be one of those times where a celebrity relationships works out.
Celine Dion And Her Epic Love Story
Celine Dion first met her husband when she was just a teenager. René Angélil became her manager at the time, but the two didn’t start dating until she turned 19 years old. He was much older than her which raised a few eyebrows at the time. But it seemed that the two were genuinely in love. They married a few years later and had children together. They were together for quite some time, all the way up until his death in 2016. Angelil was responsible for the amazing career that Dion had and they even renewed their vows in 2001. Dion said in an interview with ET a few years ago,

Kim Kardashian Had A Thing For Her Bodyguard
You might not remember that Kim Kardashian had a fling with her Australian bodyguard. But we remember it, especially since it was part of an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ spin-off show Kourtney & Kim Take New York. His name was Shengo Deane and the two were all over each other all the time. The two were kissing and cuddling on camera and who knows what they were doing off camera. They certainly suggested on the show that they were going to seal the deal. Who knows what may have happened between them if he would have stuck around. But he had to jet set back to Australia earlier than anticipated and their fling ended.
We wonder if that was just a storyline created by the producers for ratings or if Kim actually fell for her bodyguard.
Kim seemed quite upset that he left, but she’s probably happier now with Kanye.
Ariana Grande And Her Backup Dancer
Ariana Grande and Big Sean were a big thing for a while but alas it did not last. After their breakup, she got together with one of her backup dancers Ricky Alvarez. The two were together for a year before they ended things in 2016. Ariana Grande doesn’t stay single for long and she rebounded to Mac Miller.
Ariana Grande showed a whole new side of herself when she was seen in a weird video with Miller where she was seen eating donuts with him. She was also complaining about how much she “hates America.”
We’re sure that must have gone over really well with her fans. Those two had more than enough PDA to last a lifetime. They still seem to be going strong as of 2018.

Jennifer Lopez started dating Casper Smart after she separated from Marc Antony. He was one of her backup dancers and they allegedly started dating in 2011. She didn’t really start talking about their relationship until about a year later. He’s a much younger guy and he has a really nice body. You may have seen them at awards events and on the red carpet together. She even introduced him to her ex Puff Daddy at an event. The two went their separate ways when rumors came out that he cheated on her with a transgender model.
