We grew up with the kids on the Disney Channel. Many young girls fall into ‘’puppy” love with one of their favorite stars on a popular Disney shows; just ask the legion of female fans for Zac Efron. Teenage boys also have crushes on the cute young girls, like Selena Gomez, who starred in Disney shows.

Buzz Feed featured photos of 25 ex-Disney actors that have changed somewhat since their time at Disney. We went through the list and picked the seven that we think have changed in their looks the most. In some cases, they are almost unrecognizable from their younger years.

Everyone eventually grows up and that usually means changes occur in their physical appearance. Some gain weight, while others lose their teenage nerdiness. Not all changes are bad. In fact, some of those, who were actors on the Disney shows when they were younger, look better now as mature adults than they did as cutesy kids.

Here are some ex-Disney actors with photos of how they currently look and, for comparison, inset photos that were taken during their time on the Disney Channel shows.

Alyson Stoner

This 24-year-old is an actress and a fantastic dancer. She got famous while really young by being the little white girl in the Missy Elliot music videos. At the time when she first appeared in videos with Missy Elliot, she was only seven years old.

After she left Disney, she had roles in the hugely popular dance movie series called Step Up. She appeared in the original Step Up released in 2006, the Step Up 3D film released in 2008 and Step Up: All In released in 2014. These dance movies broke box office records and developed an enormous international following.

Ashley Tisdale

The 32-year-old Ashley Tisdale did many television commercials, over a hundred of them, before she got her big break in a role on the hit television series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody on the Disney Channel from 2005 to 2008. She also had roles in the dance movie series of High School Musical, High School Musical 2, and High School Musical 3.

After leaving Disney, she went on to advance her music career. She released two albums and is working on a third. She launched a makeup brand during 2016.

Bella Thorne

Bella Thorne played the character of Ruthy Spivey in the television show My Own Worst Enemy. She also appeared in Big Love. For the Disney Channel, she played the character of CeCe Jones in the television series called Shake It Up.

After she left Disney, she went on to have many roles in feature films such as The Duff Big Sky, Boo! A Madea Halloween, You Get Me, The Babysitter, Amityville: The Awakening, and Keep Watching. At the age of 20, she is currently playing the character of Paige in the series called Famous in Love.

Moisés Arias

He is best known for his appearance in Hannah Montana as the character Rico Suave. His also made guest appearances on Everybody Hates Chris, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and the Wizards of Waverly Place. He was born New York, but his parents came from Columbia. Before his acting career got going, he attended the Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Atlanta, where he learned his acting chops. He started acting when he was just 11 years old.

After he left Disney, he played roles in films such as the hit comedy film Nacho Libre released in 2006 and the lead in The Kings of Summer released in 2013. At 23-years-old he was in Pitch Perfect 3 in 2017.

Jake T. Austin

Jake T. Austin was born Jake Austin Szymanski. His stage name is much easier to pronounce and remember. He is best known for his appearance as the character of Max Russo in the Disney Channel series entitled Wizards of Waverly Place. He co-starred with Selena Gomez.

At the age of 23, he frequently does voiceover work for animation films. He was a voice for characters in The Ant Bully, Everyone’s Hero, Rio, Rio 2, Khumba, and The Emoji Movie. He promoted the movie Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, for which he did the voiceover of the Blue Beetle, by appearing at the WonderCon video game conference during 2017.

Aly Michalka

Aly Michalka is now 28 years old. She got famous for her role in the Disney show entitled Phil of the Future where she played the character of Keely Teslow. She starred with her sister AJ Michalka in many Disney projects.

After leaving Disney, she formed a musical band with her sister called Aly & AJ. They recorded four albums together between 2005 and 2010. In 2007, they released the album Insomnia and scored a top-20 Billboard hit with the song entitled Potential Breakup Song. They took some time off from 2011 to 2013. They released the single Hot House during 2013 and then they released a new album in 2017 with the lead single entitled Take Me.

Cole and Dylan Sprouse

The twin Sprouse brothers maxed out the cute-o-meter. Teen and tween girls went crazy for them as “heartthrobs.” Their first big role was to play a single character of the young boy in the film called Big Daddy co-starring with Adam Sandler. They had a major television role with The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, which ran from 2005 to 2008. During 2008, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody became The Suite on Deck, which was the most popular television show for teens during 2008 and 2009.

Their earnings from the television series, movies, and merchandising made them the wealthiest teenagers in the world according to MSN. They both took time off from acting to attend New York University from 2011 to 2015. They are now restarting their acting careers with more serious adult roles in independent films and television. During 2017, Dylan was in the film Dismissed and Cole was in the television series Riverdale.
