Brad Pitt has reportedly spent a small fortune fighting his ex-wife Angelina Jolie in court, but it appears she’s not willing to give up the fight anytime soon.
According to a new report, Brad has spent $14 million on legal fees over the years, as the legal battle with Angelina wages on.
Not only is she fighting to maintain primary custody of their minor children, but the exes are also involved in a lawsuit over the French winery they once owned together, as Brad has accused her of illegally selling her shares to hurt his reputation.
Unfortunately, it looks like Brad may have to spend even more to keep up with Angelina, as various reports say the Changeling star is prepared to drag the legal cases out as long as possible.
Earlier this year, one report claimed that Angelina’s strategy is to extend the custody conflict until all their kids turn 18 in hopes of interfering in their relationship with Brad.
“She is going to drag this [custody battle] out until the twins [now 14] turn 18,” an anonymous insider who’s reportedly a friend of Brad claimed . “Four more years.”
This report comes after sources allege that Brangelina’s six children are tired of seeing their parents fight and have even asked Angelina to let go of the custody fight. "Angelina doesn't want to let her fight for sole custody go, but the children are growing up, and even they tell their mom it's time to stop," a source told Radar Online in June.
The source said that the kids are “fine” with seeing Brad. “Maybe with the exception of Maddox, they all actually like him,” they went on.
After more than a decade together, Brad and Angelina split up in 2016 following an incident on a private jet. Angelina alleged that brad got physically aggressive with her and their children, leading her to leave him. The FBI later launched an investigation into the plane incident, only to clear Brad within a few weeks.
The exes were declared legally single in 2019, but their divorce has yet to be finalized, as they continue to try to sort out custody of their minor children as well as divide their assets. And given the most recent reports, it looks like the divorce ay be carried out for much longer, if Angelina gets her way.
