Nick Cannon has denied paying child support for any of his 12 children, saying he financially provides and doesn’t need the court naming a monthly figure. However, the mothers of one of his children recently implied there’s another reason Nick isn’t on child support.

During a recent episode of Selling Sunset, Bre Tiesi told he camera that Nick isn’t eligible to pay child support since he has so many kids. Bre shares a son, Legendary Love, with Nick, who was born I June 2022.

“The way it works is, like, after 10, the court can basically say he can’t afford to pay child support,” she said. “Or because he is who he is, they could say, ‘We know you can afford X amount for each for each household.'”

Bre’s onscreen comments instantly sparked speculation about Nick’s financial commitment to his kids. However, the reality star’s attorney turned to the press to explain that his client had been mistaken when speaking.

“Bre, you should know better!” her lawyer Neama Rahmani, told Us Weekly. “That is absolutely not true. There’s no cap on child support based on the number of children. So, to the extent that Nick Cannon can have babies, he owes child support for those babies under California law.”

In March, Nick refuted a report that he pays $3 million in annual child support, insisting he doesn’t pay it whatsoever. "It ain't even about a monthly allowance or amount of money because I don't give myself that," he said on an appearance on Audacy's Hot 104.1. "What they need, they get it."

"There's never been something that one of the mothers of my children has asked for and they didn't receive […] That's why they call me the provider," the Masker Singer host continued.

Nick has previously made headlines for buying homes for the mothers of his children.

The television personality hasn’t publicized how much he pays annually to take care of his 12 children, but he recently said he has a $100 million income.

“I hear all the time: ‘You can’t be present for all those children.’ So therefore I get this deadbeat dad title,” he told Los Angeles Times earlier this month in response to speculation over how he cares for all of his children.

“When you think about my lifestyle, I have to generate at least $100 million a year,” he continued. “Everybody thinks Ryan Seacrest has tons of money,” he continued. “I do everything that he does times 10. Well, not times 10–- times three. Because he does a lot.”

With 12 children, one can only expect that you’d need a large income to support them, but at least Nick says he’s got that part covered.
