Marriages in Hollywood are often plagued by a negative notion due to the short duration of matrimony of many Hollywood couples, which ends rather quickly in separation or divorce. Hollywood celebrities seem to have the propensity to overindulge in getting married. It appears that they change partners like they do their clothes and because of that, fans find it difficult to track whose spouse was whose. The list begins with Judy Garland’s daughter with film director Vincente Minnelli, Liza May Minnelli. The actress gained international fame for her role in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical “Cabaret”. Her most notable marriage is that one with her mother’s protégé, Peter Allen Woolnough in 1967, who was her first husband. The couple divorced in 1974 and later that same year, Minnelli exchanged vows with Jack Haley, Jr. After their divorce in 1979 she married sculptor and stage manager, Mark Gero, just 8 months after ending her marriage with Haley, Jr. It was her longest marriage ever, lasting for 11 years. Husband number 4 was David Gest, whom she married in 2002 and divorced in 2007.

Star Trek’s “Capt. James Kirk”, William Shatner, shares the same number of marriage with Liza Minnelli. He is an actor, musician, author, film director, and spokesperson who is also known for his role as a veteran police sergeant in the 1980's TV series T.J. Hooker. Shatner’s first marriage was to Gloria Rand whom he married in 1956 and divorced in 1969. He got married in 1973 to the daughter of producer Perry Lafferty, Marcy Lafferty. The couple divorced in 1996. In 1997, he was married to Nerine Kidd-Shatner until her death in 1999 due to an accident in their home. Shatner exchanged vows with his current wife, Elizabeth Anderson Martin in 2001.

Willowy actress and former fashion model, Virginia Elizabeth Davis aka Geena Davis also had four marriages. Davis is particularly known for her roles in different movies including Stuart Little, Beetlejuice, and A League of Their Own (along with pop singer, Madonna). She won Best Actress in the Golden Globe Awards for her portrayal in the TV drama series, Commander in Chief. In 1982, she married Richard Emmolo and got divorced almost a year later. She exchanged vows with fellow actor, Jeff Goldblum in 1987 and were married until they divorced in 1990. Her next marriage was to Renny Harlin from 1993 to 1998. He was recognized for his role in the CBS series Hearts Afire and went to appear in different major movies including Armageddon and A Simple Plan. Hollywood’s Frankenstein, Boris Karloff has said “I Do” six times. He was originally from England and moved to Canada in the early 1900's. His poster, which shows his portrayal as Frankenstein, is regarded as the world’s most priceless movie poster. His narration of the 1960’s Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas TV version animated film won him a Grammy award. He had one child, Sara Karloff, with his fifth wife.

Next on the list is the highly influential and controversial comic Richard Pryor who had seven marriages of which, he remarried wives number 4 and 5. Most of his marriages only lasted for one year. Pryor’s first wife was Patricia Price from 1960 to 1961 which ended in a divorce. Shelly Bonis became his second wife in 1967 and the couple divorced in 1969. Pryor married Deborah McGuire, Jennifer Lee (whom he remarried until his death in 2005), and Flynn Belaine (wife number 5).
