Darius Johnson-Odom is an American professional basketball player who has an estimated net worth of $22.5 million. The 6'2" tall, 100-kg point guard-shooting guard currently plays for the Pallacanestro Reggiana, an Italian professional basketball team based in Reggio Emilia, Emilia-Romagna.
Born Darius Earvin Johnson-Odom on September 28, 1989 in Raleigh, North Carolina, he attended Marquette College where he spent one season in junior college before moving to Hutchinson Community College where he earned first-team All-Big East as a freshman. He averaged 21.6 points and 5.2 rebounds. In three seasons at Marquette, Johnson-Odom scored 1,649 points to rank 11th all-time in program history.
During the 2012 NBA Draft, Johnson-Odom was selected 55th overall by the Dallas Mavericks, but was immediately sold to the Los Angeles Lakers. During the 2012-2013 season, he was assigned in the D-League team, the Los Angeles D-Fenders, several times. He spent most of his time in the D-League, where he was the leading scorer with an average of 21 points per game until he was waved by the Lakers on January 7, 2013.
During the remainder of the 2012-2013 season, Darius Johnson-Odom joined Russia's Spartak St. Petersburg. In the same year, he also joined joined the Boston Celtics for the 2013 Orlando Summer League. He re-signed with the Lakers on September 25, 2013, but he was waived again on October 16. Two days later, he signed with the Sichuan Blue Whales of China, but he also left after just four games.
In 2014, Johnson-Odom was acquired by the Springfield Armor then signed a 10-day contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, although he was not offered a second 190-day after. He went on to sign with other teams, including Pallacanestro Cantù of Italy, Trabzonspor of Turkey, Olympiacos Piraeus of Greece, Dinamo Sassari of Italy, Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA, Iowa Wolves and Pallacanestro Reggiana of Italy.
