Desmond Harrington is an American actor who began his career when he portrayed Aulon in Luc Besson's The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc. He went on to appear in numerous films such as The Hole, Ghost Ship and Wrong Turn. He also appeared in the Steven Spielberg sci-fi television series Taken.

In 2008, Harrington joined the Showtime TV show Dexter and he did a guest appearance on Gossip Girl. He reprised his role through guest appearances in Seasons 3 of the show.

In 2012, it was reported that Harrington will return to Gossip Girl in the "last third of the season". He made a guest appearance on the Season three premiere of Justified, and had a small role in The Dark Knight Rises.
