If you can believe it, Jersey Shore, in its many iterations, has been airing for a decade. The series originally premiered in December 2009 as eight housemates met in a vacation home in Seaside Heights where their partying, hookups, and antics would be captured on television.
Fast forward to today and the cast is all grown up and filming a new series called Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Many of them are either married or in committed relationships, some with kids. But when they get together, they still drink it up, dance it up, and party like they’re still in their 20s.
How old are they really now? And who’s married, who’s single, and who’s still figuring things out. Here’s a run-down of the main characters.
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi – 32, Married
Nicole Polizzi, a.k.a., Snooki, has been known as Nicole LaValle since 2014 when she married her love Jionni, who she met on the show. Together, they have three children, Lorenzo, Giovanna, and the newest addition to the family who was born in 2019, Angelo.
Snooki, who recently announced her retirement from the show, was born in 1987 in Chile and was adopted when she was six months old, raised by Italian American parents. It’s funny how Snooki met Jionni while she and the gang were partying it up in Jersey, and their relationship quickly became serious. Jionni does not appear on the show, though she speaks of him and the kids often.
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino – 37, Married
Mike’s proposal and wedding was the subject of much of the latest season of Family Vacation, where the friends helped him prepare an elaborate proposal, bachelor party, and performance at his wedding, which took place in November 2018.
Born in 1982 and now 37, Mike reconnected with his old college sweetheart Lauren (who he calls Laurens), who helped him through his journey to get sober. She also stood by him through his prison sentence for tax evasion. Mike was released after eight months and resumed life with his new wife and their dog who have expressed a desire to start a family.
Jenni “J-Wow” Farley – 33, Divorced
Born in 1986, which makes her 33 (almost 34), Jenni’s relationship status has been a roller coaster ride for the last few years. As documented on Family Vacation as well as in the entertainment news media and social media, Jenni and her husband Roger, who were married in 2015, were separated and going through a tough legal divorce battle.
The pair, who also met on the original series, have two children together. Their divorce was finalized in August 2019. She moved on to pursue an intense relationship with professional wrestler Zack Carpinello, but they reportedly broke up in October 2019, shortly after revelations from the latest season of the series came to light.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro – 33, It’s Complicated
As Facebook would say, Ronnie’s relationship status is best described as “it’s complicated.” His on-again, off-again, oftentimes violent, reportedly abusive, and unhealthy relationship with Jen Harley has been the subject of much of the drama on Family Vacation.
Ronnie and Jen have a child together, Ariana, and though they seem to constantly break up then try to make things work, their friends all feel that a clean break would be best. The last news of the couple was of Ronnie being arrested and charged with felony domestic violence in October 2019. Their relationship status remains unknown.
Vinny Guadagnino – 32, Single
With seemingly no desire to settle down any time soon, 32-year-old Vinny (he just turned 32 in November) was born in 1987. We’ve only ever seen him with one steady girlfriend throughout the run of both series, and even then, it was a long-distance relationship.
He appeared with his friend and co-star DJ Pauly D on another MTV series, A Double Shot at Love, though neither found a lasting relationship from the dating show (surprise, surprise). He might have the chance to meet the woman of his dreams (or at least a woman for the night) soon through an upcoming spin-off starring Vinny and Pauly called DJ Pauly D and Vinny’s Vegas Pool Party, which is in the works at MTV.
Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio – 39, Single
The most level-headed of the group, perhaps due to his maturity in age – Pauly D is pushing 40! – he was born in 1980. While he has a daughter named Amabella with an ex, he shares custody with her and they co-parent together.
He appeared on a reboot of A Double Shot at Love with his best friend and Jersey Shore co-star Vinny, but while there were lots of hook-ups, there was nothing worth noting. While Pauly D is still seemingly single, fully focused on his DJing career, he may be ready for marriage should he meet the right girl.
Deena Nicole Cortese – 32, Married
The third person from the show to meet her future husband on it, Deena married Christopher Buckner in 2017. They dated for a number of years after meeting in a Jersey Shore club during filming of the original series.
Now with a new baby, Christopher John (CJ), the 32-year-old Deena, who was born and raised in New Jersey, continues to reside in Jackson Township with her family. Deena wasn’t an original member of the cast but joined in season 3 after Angelina Pivernick left the show.
Angelina Pivarnick – 33, Married
The 33-year-old Pivarnick, born in Staten Island, NY in 1986, originally left the series in season 2, but re-joined the cast for Family Vacation as a prank by the “prank war champion” Pauly D. She had been with her boyfriend Chris Larangeira, who appeared in some episodes of Family Vacation, for a number of years.
While their relationship has seemed tumultuous at times, with Chris not always happy about the things Angelina does on the show, and a lot of bickering, they have decided to stick together. They got engaged in 2018 and officially married on November 20, 2019.
Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola - 32, Engaged
While she was an integral part of the original series, Sammi has distanced herself from the show and hasn't appeared in the new sequel series (though Pauly D did once bring a dummy doll that looked and sounded like her to prank the housemates!)
Since leaving the series and ending her long and torrid romance with Ronnie, 32-year-old Sammi has been dating Christian Biscardi, and they got engaged in March of this year. The two run a fitness business together.
