Barbie may be all the rage now thank to Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie’s new film, but Kylie Jenner just launched a limited-time collection with another famous doll brand – Bratz.
The brand teamed up with Kylie to make a series of miniature Bratz inspired by some of the reality star’s most famous looks, including her 2019 and 2022 MET Gala dresses.
Kylie announced the collection via Instagram with a video of her 5-year-old daughter, Stormi, unwrapping and playing with the dolls. “Had to get storm all the minis @bratz,” Kylie captioned the video clip.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder later released an Instagram Reel showing off the mini dolls even further. There are six dolls in total, each with their own accessories. One even comes with a miniature Norman, modelled after Kylie’s Italian greyhound of the same name.
“I have been a fan of Bratz since childhood and I’ve always wanted my own Bratz doll,” Kylie said in a press release . “I have loved every step of the process this past year in creating these dolls alongside the Bratz team. I’m so excited they are here!”
Bratz Creative Director, Jasmin Larian, said that the collaboration is a milestone for the toy company, which has been around since 20021, and that she hopes it will help breathe new life into the iconic dolls.
“This is a seminal moment in Bratz history to join forces with Kylie Jenner as the brand’s first-ever celebrity collaboration,” Larian stated. “Kylie truly embodies everything Bratz has stood for since its inception 22 years ago – from being disruptive and rebellious to energetic and expressive.”
“Not only will this collaboration expand to Kylie’s millions of fans, but it will also reach the audiences that grew up with Bratz and are excited to relive the Y2K Bratz lifestyle today,” she continued. “We couldn’t be prouder to welcome Kylie into the Bratz family.”
The Miniature Bratz x Kylie Jenner dolls will be available for a limited time and begin rolling out in stores on August 1.
It’s unclear how much Kylie is making from the collaboration, including whether she has a stake in how many dolls are sold. But the reality star reportedly makes up to $1 million for a single sponsored post on social media.
Kylie has already promoted her Bratz collection multiple times online, and will continue to show it off as long as they’re still being sold. Needless to say, it’s likely this is a million-dollar collaboration that’s taking Kylie even closer to billionaire status.
