Logan Couture started playing minor hockey for the Southwestern Ontario League's Lucan Irish. He moved to London, Ontario and joined the Minor Hockey Alliance League's London Junior Knights.
In 2005 OHL Priority Draft, he was selected as the 12th overall pick by the Ottawa 67's. Couture contributed 78 points in 54 games during his second season with the team. Two years later, he was chosen as 9th overall pick to play for the San Jose Sharks in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
Couture was named NHL Rookie All-Star team captain in 2010-2011 season. In 2013, he signed to another five-year contract with the Sharks.
