It's finally here.

The Batman director Matt Reeves took to Twitter and revealed the official logo for the upcoming 2021 blockbuster film, as well as a promotional poster for the panel at this Saturday's DC FanDome event:

Slowly but surely, more details for The Batman have come together. We (partially) know what Robert Pattinson will look like as the Caped Crusader, and now we finally have the logo for Reeves' highly-anticipated movie series.

And we'll hopefully learn more details for The Batman at DC FanDome.

The Batman, slated for an Oct. 1, 2021 release, is reportedly set to resume production at the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in early September. Filming was halted in March due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Before production was paused, the film was scheduled to be released in June of 2021.

By the time The Batman hits the big screens, it will have been four years since the last release of a live action film regarding the Caped Crusader (Justice League, 2017). Throw in the star-studded cast, and you have a film that is filled with extremely high expectations.

Pattinson, replacing Ben Affleck (who decided to step down as Batman following the release of Justice League) will be the sixth actor to portray the World's Greatest Detective in a live action film - and officially the first of the 2020s decade.

Michael Keaton first suited up for the role in Tim Burton's Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992). Keaton turned down the chance for a third film, and Val Kilmer was cast as his replacement in Batman Forever (1995). When Kilmer left, George Clooney took on the cape and the cowl in Batman Returns (1997).

Christopher Nolan rebooted the franchise, beginning with Batman Begins (2005), which starred Christian Bale as the DC Comics hero. Bale reprised his role in The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

Now, it's Pattinson's time to shine.
