Amid reports that Meghan Markle is looking to bolster her income, a new report claims the actress could make up to $1 million per episode should Suits make a comeback on Netflix.

According to The Mirror, after the drama concluded its final season in 2019, it had a remarkable resurgence on the streaming platform this past summer, amassing a viewership of over 3 billion. This achievement marks the first time in three years that a show has reached such staggering numbers, prompting Netflix executives to contemplate the possibility of greenlighting another season, reports suggest.

"The show found a whole new audience this summer and the creators behind the original show are ready to get back to work,” an insider dished to Closer.

The ring has both high sentimental and financial value, but Meghan hasn't beens seen wearing it recently.

"Netflix doesn't have a problem paying Meghan seven figures per episode if she agrees to return,” they continued. “She's not ruling it out if the money is irresistible, but it's not her priority right now."

Meghan was reportedly making $50,000 per episode before leaving Suits, so an increase in salary to $1 million or more per episode as the new report suggests would be a big jump, though it’s not implausible given the publicity around Meghan Markle in general.

Nevertheless, whether Meghan’s character Rachel Zane would be welcomed back to the show (or if the Duchess of Cornwall would agree to reprise the role) remains to be seen.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

After publicly debuting her romance with Prince Harry in 2017, Meghan’s character was written out of Suits last season. Meghan has addressed a possible return to acting now that she and Harry relocated permanently to California, where she was raised.

“No. I’m done,” she told Variety. “I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.”

Despite a combined fortune of $60 million, Meghan and Harry have reportedly been facing financial pressure (and divorce rumors) after Spotify axed their lucrative deal. Meghan recently stopped trying to rebrand her podcast.

There have been reports that Meghan may re-join Instagram in hopes of making money through sponsored posts (which could even reach the millions), but perhaps a Suits reboot the actress’s next project. For now, both Harry and Meghan keep a foot in the film industry thanks to their million-dollar deal with Netflix.
