  • NeNe Leakes' son allegedly owes $30,000 in child support, facing potential jail time.
  • Despite his mother's wealth, Bryson Bryant reportedly failed to pay $708 monthly support.
  • NeNe, with her own financial challenges, may be unable or unwilling to assist her son legally.

Reality television veteran NeNe Leakes reportedly has a net worth of $14 million. But despite their family’s wealth, NeNe’s son is apparently having trouble paying what he owes in child support, and it could land him in jail.

According to various reports, Symone Davis, (identified as Erin S. Davis in court documents) the former partner of NeNe’s son Bryson Bryant has initiated legal action seeking Bryson's imprisonment, alleging he owes her close to $30,000 in unpaid child support.

NeNe allegedly refused to pay the back due rent when she acted the commercial space in January 2022.

Symone’s court filing reveals that she’s accusing Bryson of neglecting his court-mandated monthly child support payments of $708 since being legally recognized as their son Blaze's biological father nearly four years ago. Despite the court order dating back to August 1, 2020, Symone asserts that Bryson has failed to fulfill any of his financial obligations, resulting in the outstanding sum ballooning to $29,736.

Symone initially threatened to take legal action against Bryson in December 2023, only months after NeNe's son found himself in legal trouble for possession of fentanyl. At the time Bryson avoided incarceration by posting a $6,100 bond. But while he could fork up the money for bail, he apparently hasn’t been able to do the same for child support.

For now, NeNe has been silent on the accusations against her son. Despite her million-dollar net worth, she seems unwilling to foot the bill for his legal expenses. However, given her own legal issues, she may not have the resources to do so.

For now, it appears NeNe’s future on the Real Housewives of Atlanta remains uncertain, at least for the upcoming season. Sources tell TMZ that NeNe, 56, has neither engaged in discussions with RHOA producers nor actively pursued negotiations with them.

The news will undoubtedly disappoint fans who have clamored for her comeback to the show via social media. NeNe, who rose to fame upon the show's inception, departed in 2020 and subsequently filed a lawsuit two years later, alleging racial discrimination and a toxic work environment. However, she asked for the lawsuit to be dismissed before a settlement was reached.

Various reports suggest that NeNe has experienced a variety of financial challenges post-departure from the reality series. For example, the state of Georgia has placed a lien on her, seeking to recover $17,785.22 in unpaid taxes, a figure that has ballooned to over $28,000 with accrued interest and fees. Additionally, she faces a separate debt of $25,000 to her former landlord due to rental arrears for her former establishment, Swagg Boutique. Now with her son’s unpaid child support and subsequent legal issues, the bills seems to be piling up for the Leakes family.
