The Queen of QVC, Lori Greiner, came up with her first brilliant idea in the mid 90s when she designed a plastic organised to store dozens of earrings at once. This products went on to make over a million dollars on Home Shopping Network.
Since then Lori has designed hundreds of products and made millions selling them on TV. She holds over a 100 patents and has an estimated net worth of $100 million.
Robert Herjavec
Like many of the other Sharks on the show, Robert Herjavec came form humble beginnings. He arrived with his family from Croatia at the age of 8 with a single suitcase and $20 total. He initially worked minimum wage jobs such as waiting tables ad delivering newspapers, before transforming into the technology mogul he is today.
He sold his technology firm BRACK systems to At&t back in 2000 and RAMP network to Nokia for $225 million. He now runs his own cyber security company, The Herjavec Group, and is estimated to have a net worth of $200 million.

Daymond John is an American businessman, fashion mogul, investor and motivational speaker. His first and biggest success came from FUBU, his fashion brand. John learnt how to sew from his mother and started to create poplar styles of wool hats and screen-printed t-shirts and sold them door-to-door at affordable prices. He made $800 dollars in a day selling his first batch of wool hats.
John is also a public motivational speaker and a professional consultant, helping brands and celebrities find additional revenue streams. As of 2019, John’s net worth is estimated at $250 million.
Kevin O’Leary
‘Mr. Wonderful’ Kevin O’Leary originally aspired to be a photographer, but went on to study at the University of Waterloo as per his step-father’s request. He co-founded Special Event Television with two fellow MBA students and sold his share for $25000.
O’Leary began work on Softkey back in 1986 in the basement of his home. After receiving much success, he went on to acquire other competitors such as The Learning Company and WordStar, eventually selling his company to Mattel for $3.7 billion. As of 2019 his net worth is estimated at $400 million.

Sara Blakely is the founder and creator of Spanx, the most popular shape wear company in America. She started working on a prototype from her own home with $5000 and a year in hand. After testing it with friends and family, Sara approached Neiman Marcus as well as sent a basket of her products to Oprah winfrey, eventually making it to her list of favourite things in 2000.
