Sophia Bush has filed for divorce from Grant Hughes after only 13 month of marriage, but she’s hoping the court will uphold their prenup in order to make it a smooth split.

According to court documents, the actress cited their prenup in her court filing, requesting that she not be ordered to pay spousal support, as per the terms of their agreement. She’s also asking that they split the legal fees of the divorce.

Sophia’s filing emphasized the short nature of their marriage. She listed their separation date as June 27, 2023.

“The exact nature and extent of the separate property assets and debts of the parties is unknown at this time,” her lawyers stated in the filing. “However, each party shall be awarded his/her respective separate property assets and debts pursuant to the terms of the agreement signed by the parties prior to their marriage.”

For now, Sophia and Grant haven’t commented on their divorce, but a source suggested to PEOPLE that the split remains amicable.

“Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service,” the source said. “They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends.”

During their relationship, the pair started The Bush Hughes Foundation For Progress, a foundation that was created to "help groups and people who are trying to make things fair, bring about social fairness, and move things forward in the City of Tulsa," as mentioned on the foundation's website.

The couple’s divorce comes only seven weeks after celebrating their first wedding anniversary. Sophia marked the occasions with a sweet Instagram post celebrating her husband.

“Today marks 365 days of calling you ‘husband,’” she wrote alongside a black and white image taken on their wedding day. “Best decision of my life. It still feels just like this. Ecstatic. Running toward the future, grinning and laughing, together. I love you, my favorite. Happy Anniversary.”

The pair were married in Oklahoma a year after announcing their engagement. Grant popped the question while they were vacationing in Lake Como, Italy.

Sophia has a net worth of $11 million, while Grant, an entrepreneur and real estate investor, is reportedly worth $7 million. Their divorce remains ongoing.
