The science fiction-supernatural series, Lost, aired from September 22, 2004 to May 23, 2010 on ABC. Jeffrey Lieber, J.J. Abrams, and Damon Lindelof created the series that aired for 6 seasons. The series revolved around a group of survivors of a commercial passenger jet that crashed on a mysterious tropical island. The survivors struggle to survive while dealing with supernatural elements, each other, and a mysterious Black Smoke Monster. Each episode usually revolved around a character and the series often used flashbacks and fast-forwards to show the characters' lives on the island.

Lost was an enormous commercial success. The series is widely regarded as one of the greatest television series of all time. Lost was also nominated for several awards and has won the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series. Lost was universally praised for its unique story technique, cinematography, and outstanding cast. The series featured one of the largest and most talented ensemble cast on television. Several of the actors won awards and were praised for their phenomenal performances. The male characters in the series obviously played a crucial role. However, the ladies of Lost stole the spotlight in the series. These beautiful and talented women carried the show. Here is a look at the Ladies of Lost. Where are they now?

Zuleikha Robinson – Ilana Verdansky

At one point, 6 of the passengers were able to finally escape the island but they soon realize they need to go back. Ajira Airways Flight 316 suffered a similar fate as Oceanic 815. It crashed on the Hydra Island, a smaller island near the main island. Ilana Verdansky was aboard that flight. She had a deep bond and connection with Jacob (Mark Pellegrino), the island’s protector and spiritual leader. Ilana was tasked with protecting the six candidates that Jacob had chosen to replace him. However, she dies after she drops her bag containing dynamite.

Zuleikha Robinson portrayed Ilana Verdansky in Seasons 5 and 6. Prior to Lost, she made several appearances in the sci-fi series, The Lone Gunmen. She also appeared in the films Hidalgo and The Namesake. Following Lost, she appeared in several TV series—Homeland, The Mentalist, and Kingdom. She is set to play Lady Capulet in the upcoming Shonda Rhimes series Still-Star Crossed.

Melissa Farman – Young Danielle Rousseau

In 1988, a French expedition team washed up on the shores of the mysterious island. The team included a pregnant Danielle Rousseau and her husband, Robert. The team had heard the transmission of the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 and attempted to investigate. Eventually, her team is infected by the “sickness” and she is forced to kill everyone including Robert.

Melissa Farman played the role of a young Danielle Rousseau in Season 5. Mira Furlan previously portrayed an adult version of Rousseau for the first four seasons. After Lost, her two major roles were in the HBO biopic Temple Grandin and as Bristol Palin in the HBO television movie Game Change. In 2014, she had a starring role in the Canadian Western series Strange Empire. Currently, she is a student at the University of Southern California in the honors program. She is double majoring in political science and English.

Scott Caldwell – Rose Nadler

Rose Nadler had travelled with her husband, Bernard, to Sydney to see a faith healer. Rose was diagnosed with cancer and Bernard had hoped it would help her. During the flight back to L.A., Bernard was in the bathroom at the time the plane split in half and crashed. They were separated for a time but soon reunited. Rose revealed that the island had cured her cancer. They built a tiny cabin near the ocean to live out the rest out their lives.

L. Scott Caldwell portrayed Rose Nadler in Lost. She was a regular cast member for all 6 seasons. Before Lost, she had appeared in several memorable films, including The Fugitive, The Net, and Waiting to Exhale. Since Lost concluded, she’s appeared in a plethora of TV series like Southland, Grey’s Anatomy, Madam Secretary, and How To Get Away With Murder. Additionally, she appeared in the 2015 film, Concussion. She also has an extensive theater career and has appeared in Macbeth, A Raisin in the Sun, and What I Learned In Paris.

Kiele Sanchez – Nikki Fernandez

Nikki Fernandez and Paulo were on top of the world as they sat aboard Oceanic Flight 815. They were in love, just pulled off their greatest scam, and had diamonds worth $8 million in their luggage. Everything was absolutely perfect and nothing could bring them down. Well, except for their plane splitting apart mid-air and crashing on a mysterious island.

Kiele Sanchez portrayed Nikki Fernandez in Season 3. Fans of the show wanted to know more about the other passengers since the series focused mainly on a few passengers. The series introduced Nikki and Paulo in the third season to show what the other passengers were up to. There was a major backlash against the characters and they were killed off early in Season 3. Following her time on Lost, Kiele starred in the 2009 film The Perfect Getaway along with Timothy Olyphant, Milla Jovovich, Chris Hemsworth, and Steve Zahn. From 2010 to 2013, she has starred in the A&E series, The Glades. She currently has a main cast role in the series The Kingdom, which is already in its final season.

Mira Furlan – Danielle Rousseau

16 years before Oceanic Flight 815 crashed on the island, a French expedition team was shipwrecked. The team included Danielle Rousseau who was seven months pregnant at the time. In 2004, Sayid decided to explore the island but was captured by a somewhat deranged Rousseau. She had been alone on the island for 16 years and had her baby, Alex, was taken from her by the Others. The years of isolation on the island and searching for Alex had driven her nearly insane.

Mira Furlan portrayed Danielle Rousseau in Lost. She had a recurring role for the first 4 seasons before her character was written off. Rumors suggest that Mira had requested her character to be written off because she was tired of traveling to Hawaii but she has denied that. Prior to Lost, she was a highly successful actress and singer in her homeland of Croatia. She played the role of Minbari Ambassador Delenn in all five seasons of Babylon 5 before Lost. After Lost, she landed a guest role on NCIS and Just Add Magic. She’s also appeared in Bosnian films The Abandoned, Twice Born, and With Mom.

Sonya Walger – Penny Widmore

Penny Widmore fell madly in love with Desmond Hume (Henry Ian Cusick). She wanted to be with him forever but her rich father, Charles Widmore (Alan Dale) disapproved of Desmond. Desmond broke up with Penny and vowed to prove to Charles that he’s a man worthy of Penny. Desmond set out on a sailing race but mysteriously disappeared. Penny was unaware that Desmond was washed up on the island but she’d soon start her frantic search for the love of her life.

Sonya Walger played the role of Penny Widmore in Lost. She had a recurring role throughout the series. The love story of Penny and Desmond was one of the most popular stories in the series. Prior to Lost, Sonya Walger appeared in the short-lived series Coupling and The Mind of the Married Man. After Lost, she appeared in several TV series such as Tell Me You Love Me, FlashForward, In Treatment, and Parenthood. She currently portrays Margo Bishop in the ABC series, The Catch.

Cynthia Watros – Elizabeth “Libby” Smith

One of the most shocking, tragic, and heartbreaking deaths in Lost occurred when Michael Dawson (Harold Perrineau) murdered Ana Lucia and Libby. Libby was a survivor on Flight 815 from the tail section. She was sweet, kind, and highly intelligent. She had a sweet and romantic relationship with Hurley (Jorge Garcia). That made it all the more devastating when Hurly discovers that Libby had been killed.

Cynthia Watros played the role of Elizabeth “Libby” Smith during Season 2 and later made several guest appearances. Before Lost, Watros appeared in Guiding Light and The Drew Carey Show. After Lost, she continued to appear in several popular TV series, including House M.D., Desperate Housewives and The Young and the Restless. She was slated to star as a young Celia Rhodes in the Gossip Girl prequel series, Valley Girls. However, the network passed on the series. Tania Raymonde – Alexander “Alex” Rousseau

16 years before Oceanic Flight 815 fell out of the sky, Alex Rousseau was born on the island. Her mother and her expedition team washed up the shores of the mysterious island. However, as an infant, she was taken from her mother, Danielle, by the Others. She was raised on the island by Ben Linus (Michael Emerson) and believed her mother to be dead. At times, she attempted to help the survivors of Flight 815. She is briefly reunited with her mother but is tragically killed in front of Ben.

Tania Raymonde played the role of Alex in Lost. Prior to Lost, Tania landed roles in TV series Providence, Malcolm in the Middle, and That’s So Raven. After Lost, she continued to land TV roles in several popular series like Cold Case, Bones, Hawaii Five-O, 90210, The Big Bang Theory, and Goliath. Additionally, she was praised for her performance as convicted murderer Jodi Arias, in the made for TV movie, Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret.

Rebecca Mader – Charlotte Lewis

Cultural anthropologist, Dr. Charlotte Lewis, voluntarily went to the mysterious island inhabited by a strange smoke monster. She’d been brought to the island to conduct research but soon finds herself joining up with the passengers. She has a brief relationship with fellow scientist Daniel Faraday (Jeremy Davies). The island became temporarily displaced and shifts through time involuntarily causing Charlotte to suffer from violent headaches. After frequent time travel, her headaches increase in intensity and she dies in Daniel’s arms.

Rebecca Mader portrayed Charlotte Lewis in Season 5 and made guest appearances later. Earlier in her career, she appeared in several soap operas—One Life To Live, All My Children, and Guiding Light. Following her stint on Lost, Rebecca Mader appeared in several popular TV series, including Law & Order: LA, Fringe, and Blue Bloods. She currently has a starring role as Zelena the Wicked Witch of the West in the TV series Once Upon A Time.

Elizabeth Mitchell – Dr. Juliet Burke

On September 22, 2004, Dr. Juliet Burke was hosting her book club when the ground suddenly started to shake. She ran out of her house and looked up in the sky to see Oceanic Flight 815 split apart in mid-air and crash on the island, the very island she lives on. Juliet was a member of the group the passengers called “The Others.” The Others lived in a small community on the island. She was recruited to the island to help with the fertility issues. Later, she infiltrated the group of survivors but soon turned on The Others.

Elizabeth Mitchell portrayed Dr. Juliet Burke in Lost. She received widespread acclaim and praise for her performance. She was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for her role. Prior to Lost, she appeared in the films Gia and Frequency, as well as the TV series, ER. After Lost, she’s appeared in several popular TV series like V, Revolution, and Dead of Summer. She had a recurring role as the Snow Queen in Once Upon a Time and landed a main role on Crossing Lines.

Maggie Grace – Shannon Rutherford

Shannon Rutherford was the spoiled rich girl that rarely helped out around the island. She was traveling with her step-brother Boone Carlyle (Ian Somerhalder), when they crashed on the mysterious island. Later, Shannon entered into a relationship with Sayid Jarrah (Naveen Andrews). During Season 2, her largely unsympathetic character started to gain some sympathy but is shockingly killed in the middle of the season.

Maggie Grace played the role of Shannon Rutherford in Lost. For the first two seasons, she was a regular cast member and later made a few guest appearances. After her time on Lost came to an end, she continued to have great success. She is best known for her memorable role as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Additionally, she appeared in several films, including The Jane Austen Book Club, Faster, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2. She also appeared in several popular TV series like Masters of Sex, The Following, and Californication.

Emilie de Ravin – Claire Littleton

When Claire Littleton crashed with the other passengers on the island, she was pregnant and just weeks away from giving birth. She was involved in an on-and-off relationship/friendship with recovering drug addict/ex-rock star Charlie Pace (Dominic Monaghan). Claire eventually gave birth to her son, Aaron, while on the island.

Emilie de Ravin portrayed Claire Littleton in Lost for the entire series. She was a regular cast member for the first four seasons but her character suddenly disappeared. She didn’t appear in Season 5 but returned as a main cast member for the sixth and final season. Prior to Lost, Emilie had appeared in the science fiction series Roswell. During Lost, she appeared in a number of films, including Santa’s Slay, The Hills Have Eyes, Brick, and Remember Me. After the conclusion of Lost, she continued to get work in film and TV. She currently plays the role of Belle in the fairytale TV series Once Upon a Time. In 2012, she made her first appearance in the series in a guest role but became a regular cast member starting with Season 2.

Yunjin Kim – Sun-Hwa Kwon

Prior to crashing on the strange and scary island, Sun and Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) had fallen madly in love. However, she was from a rich family while Jin was the son of a fisherman and a prostitute. It didn’t matter to Sun but it did to her father. Soon, they started to have serious relationship problems and grew distant from each other. That all changed when their plane crashed on the island. While on the island, they actually became closer and fell even more in love.

Yunjin Kim portrayed Sun-Hwa Kwon in Lost for all 6 seasons. She was praised for her performance as Sun in the series. Yunjin had actually become a huge star in Korea before her role in Lost. She had her big breakthrough with her role in the South Korean film, Shiri. Since Lost, she’s appeared in several South Korean films, such as Heartbeat, Ode to My Father, and House of the Disappeared. Additionally, she starred in the ABC series Mistresses from 2013 to 2016, for four seasons.

Michelle Rodriguez – Ana Lucia Cortez

When Flight 815 split in mid-air, the tail section of the plane crashed on the opposite end of the island as the fuselage. Throughout the first season, the fuselage survivors assumed that everyone else was dead. However, the tail section was alive and surviving. The leader of the tail section survivors was Ana Lucia Cortez. She was tough, stubborn, and independent. She was formally a cop and brought the experience to the island. Tragically, Ana Lucia is shot and murdered in the Season 2 finale.

Michelle Rodriguez portrayed Ana Lucia is Season 2. She made her first appearance in the series in a guest role in the Season 1 finale. Prior to Lost, Rodriguez had a very successful career. She made her film debut in the sports drama, Girlfight, and gained wider recognition for her role in Fast and the Furious. After Lost, she appeared in Avatar, Machete, and provided her voice for the animated film, Turbo. In 2009, she returned to the Fast and the Furious franchise, appearing in Fast & Furious. She has since appeared in all subsequent sequels.

Evangeline Lilly – Kate Austen

After Flight 815 crashed, Kate Austen found herself on a mysterious island. Kate had been on the run as a fugitive after setting her house on fire, killing her father in the process. Kate was intelligent, tough, and just happened to be utterly gorgeous, so it’s no surprise that the two hottest guys on the island would fall in love with her. Kate was involved in an intense love triangle with Dr. Jack Sheppard (Matthew Fox) and James “Sawyer” Ford (Josh Holloway).

Evangeline Lilly portrayed Kate in Lost for all 6 seasons. Lilly received universal praise for her performance in the series. Towards the end of the series, she appeared in the critically acclaimed film, The Hurt Locker. After the series ended, her career continued to skyrocket. She portrayed woodland elf, Tauriel, in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit, which was an original character created for the film. She also appeared in Marvel’s Ant-Man as Hope van Dyne (The Wasp). She will reprise the role in the sequel, Ant-Man and The Wasp, and in the Untitled Avengers film.
