Celebrities are known for extravagant wedding ceremonies. From designer wedding gowns to ornate flower arrangements, the weddings of the wealthy are filled with extreme spending. And the wedding receptions are just as over the top as the ceremony. Special care is given to exclusive locations and one of a kind décor. Food is prepared by some of the highest acclaimed chefs and drinks are concocted with only the finest alcohol around. And while these lavish expenses create a luxurious celebration for all to remember, they come with a price tag – and a large one at that. Catering and drinks alone can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. So can the musicians, décor, table arrangements, and of course the wedding cake.

For some celebrities, the wedding cake has to shine just as brightly as the bride’s ring. After all, the wedding cake is often used as more than just a sweet dessert. They are a focal piece for which the entire color scheme and theme of the reception is based. With such an important position, a wedding cake must be beautiful, elegant, and above all, unique. Some couples choose a cake that is over ten feet tall, some adorn their wedding cake with thousands of flowers, some choose bright colors, and some choose to add dazzling diamonds to their confectionery masterpieces. And, with every decoration and glittering piece of jewelry added, the price goes up. From hundreds of thousands of dollars to millions, these wedding cakes are the most expensive around.
