Nearly a year after separating, Tori Spelling has officially filed for divorce from Dean McDermott.

But things could get complicated as they try to divide their million fortune, given reports that the couple didn’t sign a prenup before getting married.

People.com reported on Spelling's comments during her podcast misSPELLINGS, in particular, her feelings about the once-significant date:

"The actress, 50, released an episode of her podcast misSPELLING on Tuesday, May 7[th] — the same date as her wedding anniversary with McDermott, 57 — and reflected on the now bittersweet date.

"'It’s May, you guys. It’s a huge month for me,' she said at the start of the episode, citing her anniversary, May 16 birthday and Mother’s Day. 'I would always be like, 'Hey, buddy. Sorry, you’re screwed. You got three Tori days to deal with, essentially, in May.'"

Tori didn't shy away from candidly disclosing her mixed feelings as she described an inscribed gift she crafted for her now ex-husband, Dean.

She said the inscription said something like "I want to grow old with you," and became emotional, surmising she was "blocking" the memory due to the lingering pain of divorce:

"'Or something. I’m conveniently blocking it out, because it hurts,' she added, withholding tears as she detailed the gift, 'inspired by those old couples sitting on a bench.'"

In April, it was confirmed Tori filed documents to initiate the divorce proceedings after 18 years of marriage.

She cited irreconcilable differences and also requested sole physical custody of the five kids she shares with Dean.

She asked that joint legal custody plus Dean’s visitation rights be determined at a later date.
